12 years old, distilled 17th September 2002, 58.4% abv, refill ex-bourbon barrel, 205 bottles

The nose is a curiously combination of fresh cut grass, watch oil and sea breeze. The mouthfeel is thin and light. The body has fennel, watch oil, and a little hint of lime. The finish is sweet but short - vanilla, lime and brine.

Water brings out thin, short-lived whorling that doesn't settle. The nose now has less grass, more brine. The body has gained vanilla, but lost the fennel. The finish is unchanged.

An interesting and intriguing dram, well constructed and worth investigation.
