The nose has tobacco leaves, old leather, polished mahogany and a hint of cherry. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has honey, tobacco leaves, and then a hint of ginger towards the finish. The finish itself is long with tobacco leaves and honey, with hints of warm gingerbread. As it lingers the gingerbread takes over.

Water brings out thick, compact whorling that dissipates quickly. The nose gains bready notes, with a little ginger - the cherry and polished mahogany has gone. The body has more gingerbread and loses some of the tobacco. The finish also loses some of the tobacco.

A very nicely balanced dram - a masterclass in what ex-bourbon casks can do. For celebrating special occasions!
