72.80 - Swallowing a cashmere scarfThe nose has old - but unpolished - oak furniture and hints of lychee. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has lemon, lychee, fresh oak and hints of wax jackets. The finish has lemon and fresh oak.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly into brief mottling. The nose gains lemon and pear, but loses nothing. The body gains more lemon and some hard pear, and loses the wax jackets. The finish gains more lemon.

Fruity, sharp and nicely composed - this is a real summer dram!

One for summer mornings.

Technical score: 4/5

Personal preference: I’d have another dram.
