13 years old, distilled 4th September 2002, 60.4% abv, Second-Fill Ex-Sauternes Hogshead, 222 bottles

The nose has apple juice, cardamom and cinnamon. The mouthfeel is decent, but lacks cling. The body has cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves and a hint of dried apples and bananas. The finish is short, ginger and cinnamon.

Water brings out thin mottling that rapidly settles as mottling. The nose now gains mint leaves and a freshly opened bag of wine gums. The body has less of the spices, more of the bananas and apples, and hints of exotic fruits. The finish is unchanged.
