DSC_0227The nose has new soft leather, toasted almonds and plums. The mouthfeel is thin and fleeting, with no cling. The body has honeyed notes, and then wasabi. It's not too hot, but it does close my taste buds somewhat. The finish is sweet vanilla, and is quite short.

Water brings rapidly expanding whorling that lingers for a while. The nose now replaces the soft leather with vanilla. The body has no wasabi, thankfully! Honey, cinnamon, vanilla, lightly toasted bread. It's still a little warm, but they're oak spices and not too strong - I couldn't drink more than one dram though! The finish unchanged.

A decent dram, but the heat on the body is only just tolerable for me.
