20 years old, distilled 23rd April 1996, 60.8% abv, Refill Ex-Bourbon Hogshead, 150 bottles

The nose has rosewater, violet, and damson. The mouthfeel is thin and a little astringent. The body has Turkish Delight, violet and passion fruit, with a hint of peach. The finish is peach and damson.

Water brings out thick, short-lived whorling that settles quickly. The nose now gains a little honeysuckle, and loses the damson. The body has also become more floral, with honeysuckle and more of the violet. The finish gains violet.

A superb dram for summer afternoons...
