20 years old, distilled 23rd April 1996, 61.0% abv, Refill Ex-Bourbon Hogshead, 216 bottles

The nose has oak shavings, toffee and ginger. The mouthfeel is thin with little cling. The body has tinned pineapple, banana, green apples and crystallised ginger towards the finish. The finish itself is pineapple juice, ginger and toffee.

Water brings out thick, lazy whorling that doesn't last. The nose now has a touch of pineapple juice, and less oak. The body gains more cinnamon, more ginger and more fruits - mango and pineapple. The finish is sweeter, with less of the ginger.

A decent dram for an ice-cream dessert.
