SMWS 93.164 - All peaches and rosesThe nose is floral with rose petals and hints of lavender, then pineapple juice and peaches. The body has rose petals and lavender, then pineapple juice, then wood spices. The finish is pineapple, cinnamon and cardamom.

Water brings out brief tight, thin whorling that dissipates without whorling. The nose gains brine and loses the peaches, lavender and rose petals. The body gains brine and loses the floral notes and the lavender. The finish gains brine and the pineapple intensifies, but it loses the spices.

A curious dram - not my style at all, but I like the fruits and the floral notes. Fans of the coastal style will like it watered, but I felt that it failed to hold it all together.

One for autumnal evenings.

Technical score: 3/5

Personal preference: Just the one dram, thanks.
