SMWS 93.94 - The final trawlThe nose has lemon, machine oil and hints of coal dust and herbs. Very unusual, but very enjoyable! The mouthfeel is thin with a little cling. The body has more of the lemon, some watch oil, sage, vanilla and a hint of liquorice. The finish has lemon, watch oil and sage.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into mottling after a short while. The nose gains more lemon and some distant bonfire smoke, but loses the coal dust and herbs. The body gains bonfire smoke and wood ash, and the previous notes are a little diminished. The finish gains a hint of smoke.

A superb dram for shoreline sunsets on a summer's day.

Technical score: 4.5/5

Personal preference: I'd like more than one bottle.
