9 years old, distilled 8th June 2006, 58.3% abv, refill ex-bourbon barrel, 172 bottles
The nose has mown grass, meadow flowers, honey and a little lemon. The mouthfeel is very thin and has no cling. The body has honey and mint, then some slight wood spice heat. The finish is sawdust and cinnamon.
Water brings out tight, long-lived but not expanding whorling. The nose now has less grass and flowers, but gains a slight cereal note. The body has the same cereal (barley?) and some liquorice towards the finish, but has lost the honey and mint. The finish is unchanged.
This dram needs to avoid water.
