CW1.5 - Cinnamon sins

12 years old, distilled 31st May 2009, 61.7% abv, charred new oak barrel, 245 bottles, dram price D

SMWS CW1.5 - Cinnamon sinsThe nose has butterscotch and maple syrup. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has butterscotch, pears, apples, rhubarb, and cinnamon. The finish has rhubarb and cinnamon.

Water brings out thin worling and no mottling. The nose gains sugar dusting and walnuts. The body gains walnuts and more cinnamon. The finish gains walnuts.

Corn whisky isn’t my go-to, but this one is decent. Mustn’t add water in future though - it unleashes the spice too much for me!

One for summer days.

Technical score: 3.5/5
Personal preference: Just the one dram, thanks.
