SMWS 25.66 - "Bette Davis doing DIY"

23 years old, distilled 14th November 1990, 57.8% abv, refill ex-bourbon hogshead, 157 bottles

The nose has passion fruit, hard pears and balsa wood. The body has a thin, clean mouth-feel with little cling. The body has peaches, pears, lemon and a touch of chilli. The finish is sharp, short and full of citrus.
Water brings out tight, short lived whorling. The nose is lighter and fruitier - peaches join the previous fruits, and the balsa wood is diminished. The body is also fruitier - kiwi fruit, passion fruit, hints of cherries towards the back of the mouth. The finish has pears and citrus, and lasts a little longer.

A great dram to watch a sunset on a warm day.
