22 years old, distilled 17th January 1992, 54.8% abv, refill ex-bourbon hogshead, 264 bottles

A sweet nose of heather, ash and a hint of citrus. The body has white pepper, brine, and a slight meaty flavour. The mouth-feel is slight. The finish is quite long - sweet vanilla and ash.

The whorling when water is added is pleasant but short. The nose is now brine, ash, menthol and smokey fudge. The body has become more gentle - less brine, more smokey fudge. The finish remains a long, ash filled sweetness - a hint of lavender towards the end.

A fine lightly peated dram, for an evening by the coast watching the sun set.
