SMWS 66.55 - "An Andalucian picnic"

10 years old, distilled 17th November 2003, 59.2% abv, refill ex-bourbon barrel, 154 bottles

The nose has ash and herbal notes - difficult to pin down anything specific, but very pleasantly balanced. The body is warm - ash, toffee, a little oak. The mouth-feel is sharp. The finish is long, with vanilla sweetness and bonfire smoke.

Water brings tight, short lived whorls. The nose is now damp ashes and a grassy note. The body has a hint of citrus alongside the ash. The finish is long, sweet and full of damp campfire.

A great dram for the end of a summer's evening.
