The nose has vanilla, coconut, lemon, fudge and a hint of eucalyptus. The mouthfeel is decent with little cling. The body has lemon, beeswax, and orange fruit gums. The finish has lemon and beeswax with some fudge.
Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that dissipates quickly. The nose gains marshmallow and a hint of raspberry replaces the eucalyptus. The body gains peach and marshmallow, and loses some of the orange notes. The finish gains raspberry and loses a little of the lemon.
A very nice dram - unctuous, with the high strength not affecting the flavours or their delivery. One for autumnal evenings after dinner.
