36 years old, distilled 28th May 1979, 47.6% abv, Refill Ex-Bourbon Hogshead, 126 bottles

The nose has stewed fruits (apples?), acetone, and wax jackets. The mouthfeel is thin, and a little watery. The body has more stewed fruits, cinnamon, and hints of exotic woods. (Camphor wood? Sandalwood?) The finish is brief, with a little stewed fruits and then marker pens.

Water brings out thin, brief whorling that expands quickly and settles into lingering mottling. The nose now has more stewed fruits and a hint of sandalwood and cinnamon, with the acetone reduced. The body has more definite apple notes, and gains hints of mixed nuts. The finish is unchanged.
