9 years old, distilled 22nd June 2006, 60.6% abv, first fill ex-bourbon barrel, 236 bottles

The nose is very interesting - plenty of fruit chew sweets (apple, raspberry, peach, cherry, melon) and a slight mustiness (old books). There's also a little vanilla. The mouthfeel is thin with little cling. The body has more fruit sweets, with more pronounced green apples and slight orange note, then a hint of floral-scented soap. The finish is oranges and peaches.

Water brings out thick, short-lived but rapidly expanding whorling. The nose now has a little gooseberry, then the previous fruit chews. The body has the previous fruit notes b gains a little more orange flavoured chews, then some camphor wood shavings. The finish also gains the scented wood notes.

A decent dram for an aperitif.
