20 years old, distilled 11th November 1994, 55.9% abv, first fill toasted oak hogshead, 269 bottles

The nose has caramel, shoe leather and a little lavender in the background. The mouthfeel is smooth and soft. The body has some tannins, then red apples and soft toffee. The finish has toffee and a hint of coffee.

Water brings out thin, shortly lived whorling that settles quickly into lasting mottling. The nose now replaces shoe leather with Turkish Delight. The body has far fewer tannins - the red apples are joined by mango and hints of red berries. There's also a touch of dark chocolate towards the end. The finish is unchanged.
