25 years old, distilled 26th January 1990, 52.5% abv, refill ex-bourbon barrel, 87 bottles

The nose has apricot jam, pears, peaches - a deliciously light and sweet experience! After a short while, a metallic hint (galvanised bicycle clips?) appears in the background. The mouthfeel is thin and doesn't cling. The body has a little vanilla, then mango and watermelon. The finish is sweet pears and peaches.

Water brings out tight but rapidly expanding whorling, that settles into lasting mottling. The nose now has some more fruits - kiwi fruit, oranges and strawberries - and a hint of soft toffee. The body also gains more fruits and soft toffee, and also a banana split. The finish gains banana.

A fine dram for a summer's morning.
