24 years old, distilled 13th August 1990, 52.0% abv, refill ex-bourbon hogshead, 288 bottles

The nose has vanilla, sponge cake, and a hint of lemon. The mouthfeel is clean, with a little cling. The body continues the theme from the nose - sponge cake and vanilla - but adds some subtle nut notes. Hazelnut nougat and sugared almonds. The finish is sweet and light, with sponge cake and honey notes.

Water brings out rapidly expanding whorling that lasts a while as mottling. The nose has more lemon and vanilla. The body has gained a little cinnamon. The finish is less honeyed, more cinnamon.

A very good dram for a summer's evening.
