9 years old, distilled 22nd June 2006, 59.9% abv, first fill ex-bourbon barrel, 222 bottles

The nose has gingerbread men, with a little icing on them. There's also spiced pears and some vanilla. The mouthfeel is thin with little cling, but it does expand nicely. The body has cinnamon, pears, a buttery sweetness and a little pine sap towards the end. The finish is very short vanilla sweetness.

Water brings out tight, thin whorling that expands very rapidly into lasting mottling. The nose now has soft scoop vanilla ice cream, pears and pine sap. The ginger has diminished significantly. The body has cinnamon, vanilla, more pine sap and a little lemon sherbet - this is an intensely sweet dram! The finish is vanilla and lemon sherbet, and lingers for a while.

The ideal dram for those who want a sweet sensation, but also want to cut down on the sugar in their diet!
