SMWS 7.243 - TwinningThe nose has lemon, hard pears, green apples and hints of old furniture. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has lemon, pears, old oak furniture, teak, walnuts and brazil nuts. The finish has old oak furniture, mahogany, walnuts, brazil nuts and hints of dry roasted peanuts.

Water brings out tight, thin whorling that settles quickly into brief mottling. The nose gains walnuts and more lemon, and loses the green apples. The body gains more walnut, and loses the pears. The finish gains some more lemon, but is still very nutty.

A nut bomb. If you like wood-led whisky, this is the dram for you.

One for autumn evenings.

Technical score: 4/5

Personal preference: Just the one dram, thanks.
