The nose has pears, orchards in summer, quince and hints of shortbread. The mouthfeel is thin with a little cling. The body has more of the fruit, and gains some mango. There's also some soft ginger and cloves that continues into the finish - which is long, with pears and hints of rhubarb and cinnamon.
Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly into brief mottling. The nose gains mango and cinnamon, with floral hints. It also loses the shortbread. The body gains raisins and sultanas, and loses the rhubarb hints. The finish still has cinnamon, but now gains pears and cloves.
A very nice dram to wake up to in summer.
