25 years old, distilled 28th November 1989, 49.6% abv, refill ex-bourbon barrel, 128 bottles

The nose has hard pears, white grapes, lychee and a hint of plasticine. The mouthfeel is thin and has little cling. The body has lots of fruit - more pear and white grapes from the nose, and then lemon and lime citrus, then blackcurrant. There's also a little hint of aniseed. The finish is vanilla and lychee.

Water brings out tight, thin whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains peaches, and the aniseed in the body is stronger. The finish is unchanged.

A very drinkable dram, for the end of a lazy Sunday.
