The nose has grass, baked pineapple and a hint of peach and mango. The mouthfeel is smooth with a little cling. The body has peach, mango, honey, and hard pears. The finish is sweet - pear and apricot.
Water brings out thin, rapidly spreading whorling that settles quickly before dissipating. The nose now gains a little crisp peat smoke, but retains all previous flavours. The body loses the mango and gains some grassiness, and the finished gains a hint of crisp smoke.
An atypical dram for this distillery, but superb nonetheless. One for setting sun at the end of summer.
