The nose has brine, smoked fish, and grilled fish. The mouthfeel is smooth, thin and has a little cling. The body has burnt fat, crisp smoke and a little brine. The finish is light smoke and brine.
Water brings out thick, heavy whorling that doesn't expand much but lingers for a while. The nose now has iodine, eucalyptus and brine. The body has menthol, iodine and crisp smoke. The finish is crisp smoke and iodine, with a little hint of sea spray.
A great dram for hipflask and a shoreline walk, but it benefits from water.
