The nose is soft - vanilla, banana, hints of oak. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has balsa wood, oak staves, vanilla ice-cream and lemon. The finish is short with vanilla and balsa wood.
Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains pear, and loses some of the oak. The body gains walnut nougat, and loses the lemon. The finish becomes nutty and acrid.
An autumnal dram.
Technical score: 2.5/5
Personal preference: Just the one dram, thanks.
