11 years old, distilled 2nd July 2004, 59.3% abv, First-Fill Ex-Bourbon Barrel, 192 bottles

The nose has pears, melons, peaches and apricots with a hint of banana. The mouthfeel is decent, smooth with no cling. The body has vanilla, honey, pears and melons and then a little light fudge. The finish is sweet - apricots and fudge.

Water brings out tight, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly into mottling. The nose now gains lemons and elderflower. And loses the apricots and peaches. The body has also gained lemons, and a slightly chemical note. It also loses the fudge. The finish is shorter, gaining hints of honey.

A decent dram, but perhaps spare the water.
