25 years old, distilled 13thh August 1990, 52.0% abv, Refill Ex-Bourbon Hogshead, 312 bottles

The nose has toffee, mangoes, Turkish Delight, and then a hint of peach. The mouthfeel is thin, smooth with no cling. The body has more of the toffee, mango, then peaches and a little hint of pineapple. The finish is pineapple, peaches and rosewater.

Water brings out thick, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into short-lived mottling. The nose has gained more of the Turkish Delight and the mangoes, and lost some of the toffee. The body gains more of the mango and a little herbality - rosemary and fennel? The finish gains a note of mango.

A superbly balanced dram, one for drinking for celebrations.
