The nose has green apples, gooseberries, butterscotch, toffee, strawberry Chewitts, and hints of raisins. The mouthfeel is decently coating, with a little cling. The body has cinnamon and cardamom raisins, sultanas, dried banana and unvarnished oak. The finish is sweet - green apples and golden syrup.
Water brings out thick whorling that lingers as it slowly settles into mottling. The nose now gains more oak and some pear, and hints of tangerine, mango and passion fruit. The body also gains more fruit, but is also a little quieter. The finish gains some unvarnished oak.
An intriguing dram, which I preferred neat to watered. Suitable for desserts.
