SMWS 4.222 - Ginger and honey sweet teaThe nose has honey, sea breezes and hints of lemon cough sweets and ginger. The mouthfeel is watery, with a little cling. The body has caramel biscuits, honey, ginger, cinnamon and then a little touch of ash towards the finish. The finish is sweet - vanilla and ginger with a hint of smoke.

Water brings out thin, expanding whorling that settles quickly. The nose gains light smoke notes - crisp and dry - and more of the lemon. The body also gains some more gentle smoke, and loses the biscuity notes. The ginger is also a bit stronger. The finish is unchanged.

A lovely light dram, perhaps a bit too gingerish for me but good for a hip flask on springtime hikes.
