The nose has gingerbread, raisins, carrot cake, and a hint of mango. The mouthfeel is decent, with a little cling. The body is an explosion of flavours - milk chocolate, mango, raisins, and some fennel towards the finish. The finish itself is long, with rum-soaked raisins and milk chocolate.
Water brings out thin, expanding whoring that settles into lingering mottling. The nose now gains strawberries and hints of pineapple. The body has gained a little toffee, hints of treacle and some currants towards the finish. The finish is unchanged.
An interesting, dry sherried whisky which shows it doesn't all have to be citrus fruits. One for drizzling over vanilla ice-cream, perhaps?
