9 years old, distilled 15th May 2007, 60.1% abv, Refill Ex-Bourbon Barrel, 270 bottles, dram price B

The nose has an initial hit of crisp light smoke, followed by hints of pot pourri. The mouthfeel is decent, with a little cling. The body has earthy notes - mossy clods, with a little floral note in the background, and a hit of cinnamon into the finish. The finish itself is smoke and cinnamon.

Water brings out thin, short-lived whorling that doesn't linger long as mottling. The nose gains toffee and loses the pot pourri. The body gains more earthy notes, burnt toast and some caramel. The finish has less cinnamon.

A great summer's day peated whisky.
