SMWS 1.186 - "A stroll in the Luxemburg gardens"

12 years, distilled 7th June 2002, 57.0% abv, first fill ex-bourbon barrel, 235 bottles

The nose has creme brulee and shortbread at first, then calms quickly towards creme soda. The body has pine sap and lemon, with a little menthol. The mouthfeel is quite thin. The finish is dry and woody.

After water (which whorls tightly and quickly), the nose has a touch of chewing gum, and faint hints of fruit. The body has a bit more heat, but is just about tolerable for me - there's ginger, cinnamon and chili pepper. There's also a certain dustiness present. The finish is still quite dry.

A nice dram, but the heat means it's not to my taste...
