13 years old, distilled 18th June 2001, 64.7% abv, refill ex-bourbon barrel, 209 bottles

A light, astringent nose with vanilla and beeswax. The body has apple juice, coconut, honey, banana and lime. The mouth-feel is thin. The finish is sweet - vanilla and cumin.

After water (which whorls thickly but quickly) the nose has gained the coconut and banana from the body, as well as a slight note of old books. The body has less apple juice, and more banana and vanilla. The finish is much the same, which is no bad thing.

A superb light dram for an aperitif.
