A fantastic tinge of pink... The nose has an immediate hit of dry crisp smoke, followed by sweet port notes and a slightly mineral note - the chalk and stones in a puncture repair kit. The body has vanilla, crisp dry bonfire smoke, plums and maple syrup. The finish is smoke and port.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly into lingering mottling. The nose gains more smoke, and some grape notes. The body gains more plum and some grapes. The finish has a little more of the port.

A decent dram which sees its two main flavours locked in battle. One to drink at the shoreline...
