The nose has pear drops, lemon sherbet, vanilla and a strange note rather like a greengrocer's - full of crisp dry vegetal notes. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has more fruit than I expected - pear, green apples, lemon and then a little bit of herbs - thyme and mint leaves? The finish is lemon sherbet and vanilla.
Water brings out thin, short-lived whorling that expands briefly. The nose loses the lemon sherbet and gains thyme. The body gains horseradish and wasabi, and loses the green apples and pears. The finish is unchanged.
A springtime dram.
