The nose has maple syrup, green apples and hints of mustard. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has mustard seeds, maple syrup, cinnamon, and hints of children's cherry flavoured cough syrup. The finish is maple syrup with hints of cherries.

Water brings out thick, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly without mottling. The nose gains more of the maple syrup and loses some of the mustard seeds. There's also honey glazed ham and a hint of smoke. The cherry is more prominent - cherry flavoured Strepsils? The finish has cherry flavoured cough syrup and cinnamon, with a hint of smoke.

A curious dram - lightly peated did not mean smoky. Full of interesting flavours that complemented each other - one for winter nightcaps, to keep the sniffles away!
