8 years old, distilled 6th June 2008, 61.6% abv, First-Fill Ex-Bourbon Barrel, 252 bottles

The nose has toffee, grass, and hints of peaches, then a little cinnamon. The mouthfeel is smooth but thin with a little cling. The body has salted toffee, musty old books and cinnamon spice - but not too much heat. The finish is cinnamon spices.

Water brings out thin whorling that immediately spreads into lasting mottling. The nose now has more cinnamon, less grass. The body has gained more mustiness, but thankfully not much more spice. The finish is unchanged.

A lovely dram for autumn walks.
