The nose has crispy smoke (from a bonfire) and brine. The mouthfeel is decent, with a little cling. The body is big - peat, smoke, tar, and an intense sweetness of vanilla and cinnamon, with hints of honey. The finish is smoke and honey.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles but doesn't mottle. The nose has gained a slight vegetal note and hints of toffee, but is still very smokey. The body also gained toffee, and the finish has gained both toffee and hints of damp ash.

A lovely finishing dram.
