The nose has polished wood, caramel and a hint of pear. The mouthfeel is thin with a little cling. The body is quiet, with coconut, caramel and a hint of sage. The finish is also quiet - back to the polished wood.
Water brings out thick, short-lived whorling that barely mottles. The nose now gains rose water. The palate is a little woodier, with oak shavings and a hint of polish. The finish is unchanged.
A starting dram.
