The nose has soft toffee, foamy bananas, custard creams, and a nice soft floral note. The mouthfeel is thin, with little cling. The body has more custard creams, honey, soft toffee and hints of candied lemon cake decorations. The finish is sweet, with vanilla and floral hints.
Water brings out thick, rapidly expanding whorling that lingers briefly but barely mottles. The nose now gains coconut and some of the candied lemon that was in the unwatered body. The body gains more lemon and hints of oranges, and some oak sawdust. The custard creams are also more dominant, and there's a little amount of intense cinnamon towards the finish. The finish itself gains sawdust and that cinnamon spice.
An awesome whisky, gentle without water and more intense with - one to start and finish the evening with.
